Le Cercle Francophone of Modi’in was created in 2000 and its main activity is to welcome and provide assistance to new immigrants to the city of Modi’in. It also helps families in need of food (Shabbat and Festivals), clothing, financial assistance and care. We regularly support the Israeli soldiers in organizing relaxation days with activities and barbecue.
Members of our community volunteer in a range of activities including:
· Magen David Adom emergency Ambulance service (including Shabbat);
· Community Police service in the evenings;
· Local Border Patrol and
· Supporting families whose children have lost their lives in the IDF
We also organize Shabbat prayer services that currently take place in a nursery school, lent to us by the Town Hall. This allows the local community of mixed nationalities (Israeli, French, British, etc.) to meet together, pray and attend shiurim on Shabbat. We recently obtained a plot of land in the town centre in order to build :
